DIY Front Partial Protection Kit - PPF for Model Y Juniper

I recently installed the DIY Front Partial Protection Kit for my Model Y Juniper, and overall I’m very impressed with both the product and the experience. If you’re on the fence about doing paint protection yourself, this kit makes it much more approachable and definitely worth the effort.

The installation process was surprisingly straightforward. The kit came well-precut and aligned nicely with the contours of the car, which took a lot of the guesswork out of the process. The instructions were clear enough for a DIY project, and I didn’t feel overwhelmed at any step. You have enough flexibility to reposition it if needed, which helped reduce stress and made the overall experience much more manageable, even for someone without professional experience.

As for the results, the protection is exactly what I was hoping for. The most exposed areas of the front end now have a solid layer of defense against rock chips, road debris, and everyday wear. The clarity of the film is excellent, it blends in seamlessly and doesn’t take away from the look of the car at all.

I love a good DIY project, and this scratched the itch! It was challenging, but also easy enough I could get it done with a few free evenings. Having PPF professionally installed can get expensive quickly, so being able to do it myself and still get a great result feels incredibly rewarding. I was able to protect my Tesla without paying premium installation fees, which made this kit an easy choice.

I debated a long time before pulling the trigger to tackle a PPF install of this level. I watched a lot of video and have to say it paid off. It took me 2.5 days by myself with just the assist from my wife when we placed the large front bumper piece. In fact, the bumper was the only truly challenging piece. I give myself a B/B+ because the stretch needed for bumper section reaching toward the side lights on both sides was really tough. But the kit was all inclusive and the overall template cuts very accurate. I pleased and it was satisfying to see my skill grow in the process.
