Everything you need to know about using our premium 3M, Avery Dennison , and Color PPF scraps for your DIY project.
Leftover Wraps are the most cost-effective way to customize and protect your vehicle. Vinyl scraps are ideal for chrome deletes, mirrors, and interior trim. Color PPF scraps are a favorite for high-impact areas like front splitters, door sills, or B-pillars, where you want both a color change and heavy-duty rock chip protection.
Vinyl scraps (like 3M 2080 or Avery Dennison SW900) are thinner and designed primarily for aesthetic color changes and easy DIY installation. Color PPF (Paint Protection Film) is significantly thicker, features self-healing technology, and is designed to protect your paint from road debris while changing its color. Both are professional-grade, but PPF offers a higher level of physical protection.
Yes. Every piece in our "Leftover" collection is a genuine off-cut from our master rolls of 3M, Avery Dennison, and premium Color PPF brands. These are the exact same materials we use for our precision-cut DIY kits. They aren't "seconds" or "defective" films—they are simply the high-quality ends of rolls offered at a clearance price to reduce waste in our shop.
We list the exact dimensions for every piece of Vinyl and Color PPF. For small accents like door handles or mirrors, a 1ft or 2ft scrap is usually plenty. For chrome deletes, look for longer, narrower strips. Since PPF is thicker and slightly harder to stretch than vinyl, we recommend ordering a leftover wrap that gives you at least 2–3 inches of extra material on all sides of your project area.
Our materials are supplied in rolls that are 5 feet wide. The size or yardage listed for each color refers to the length of the material pulled from that roll, not the width. For example, if a color shows a certain number of yards available, that number represents how long the piece is at a fixed 5-foot width. This is how we calculate coverage and ensure there’s enough material to cut the required panels for your specific kit or project.
