Common questions about using our Avery Supreme Wrapping Film off-cuts for DIY car wrap accents
Avery Dennison SW900 is famous for its Easy Apply™ RS technology. This makes these scraps the most beginner-friendly option for DIY projects. The material is highly conformable, meaning it stretches easily around mirrors and recessed areas without "ghosting" or whitening. If you are new to wrapping, an Avery Dennison leftover wrap is the safest place to start.
Yes! Avery Dennison SW900 is one of the top choices for chrome deletes because of its deep gloss and satin finishes. Our leftover wraps are perfect for window trim, grilles, and emblems. Since Avery film is slightly thinner and more flexible than other brands, it tucks into tight weatherstripping and trim gaps more easily, providing a seamless, "painted" look.
Every Avery Dennison leftover wrap we sell includes the official Avery Dennison color name (e.g., Gloss Rock Grey or Satin Black). If you are matching a wrap already on your vehicle, ensure the color name matches exactly. Because Avery Dennison's manufacturing is highly consistent, a scrap from a new roll will almost always match a roll purchased previously, making these ideal for repairs or adding matching accents.
Absolutely. Every piece of Avery Dennison SW900 we sell features the RS (Repositionable) technology. This allows the vinyl to "float" over the surface until you apply pressure, and the air-release channels ensure a bubble-free finish. Even though these are discounted off-cuts, they are fresh materials with the same 12-year (black/white) or 10-year (color) durability rating as a full roll.
Leftover wraps are final sale, which means we can’t accept returns on them. Since these are limited-quantity pieces cut from remaining material, once they’re gone, they’re gone — and we price them accordingly.
That said, if you run into an issue with fit or need a specific piece to complete a project, feel free to reach out. We’re always happy to help where we can, just no take-backs on leftovers.
Our materials are supplied in rolls that are 5 feet wide. The size or yardage listed for each color refers to the length of the material pulled from that roll, not the width. For example, if a color shows a certain number of yards available, that number represents how long the piece is at a fixed 5-foot width. This is how we calculate coverage and ensure there’s enough material to cut the required panels for your specific kit or project.
