Protect your investment, cool down your cabin, and elevate your ride's look. The Tesla Model Y Juniper features a massive, gorgeous panoramic glass roof—but it’s also a magnet for high-velocity road debris and intense solar heat. A single flying rock can instantly cause a crack, leading to an unexpected, headache-inducing $2,000 glass replacement bill.
Our Tesla Model Y Juniper Tinted Roof & Rear Windshield Protection Kit is a true multi-purpose upgrade. Unlike standard tinted films that only darken the glass, this premium TPU-based paint protection film features advanced ceramic heat-rejection technology to actively block thermal energy before it ever enters your cabin.
Designed specifically for the refreshed Tesla Model Y architecture:
| Material Base | High-Performance Premium TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) |
| Shade Options | Deep Black (17% VLT) or Light Blue (71% VLT) |
| Infrared Heat Rejection (IRR) | 91% (Deep Black) / 95% (Light Blue) |
| UV Protection | 99% Blockage across all shades |
| Properties | Self-Healing, High Impact Armor, Hydrophobic Top-Coat |
Most customers install this themselves. We recommend watching the how to video to ensure correct usage.

Transformed!! I really wanted to stand out from all the other white model 3s, so I ordered the pillar delete. Everything was pre-cut to fit. This was my first time applying and I couldn't be more happier with the results. The kit came with all the tools needed. Excellent product and excellent service with Tesbros!

Step-by-Step Installation Guide
The PPF material is excellent, and installation went smoothly. This was my first PPF (or tint) job install, I watched the videos that Ji has on YouTube and I am very happy with the results. Due to the size and height of the model Y, you will need to have someone help you with placing the film on the roof. I got the 71% as I didn’t want to lose visibility at night. I like how it looks and came out. It doesn’t look blueish, see the photo.
I installed mine yesterday, it’s a high quality product. I love how it darkens the roof from the outside, the glass isn’t as dark as the my previous gen Model Y so it covers that weird space in the back that looks like they ran out of tint at the factory. I was able to get it perfectly aligned along the windshield, but had an issue getting it stretched to the back. I’m about a half inch off, also I feel like it would’ve helped if the squeegee was larger. This was my first time working alone with PPF this large so you definitely need a helper.
Cabin is way cooler and the view is better. The blue tinted ppf is a great combo for the roof. From the outside you can’t really tell it is blue.
Finally found a space to get my roof protection installed—I managed to get access to the local fire department’s garage, which doubles as their gym and storage area. Definitely enough room to work, but I learned a few things along the way that I wanted to pass on to the group.
The "Helper" Factor:
Don't even try this solo. You absolutely need a helper for this one.
The Install:
I followed the instructions, but I have to say—it isn't as easy as the videos make it look! The stretching was the most difficult part for me; the material kept wanting to spring back before I could get it locked in place.
Pro-Tip for the Group:
On hindsight, I think the tack solution water should have been a higher temperature to help with the pliability. Not boiling, but through the bottle just tolerable. Also, I used the same aluminum bench you have, but let me tell you—between the constant up-and-down from the bench and the unforgiving concrete floor, it was a rough day for an old fart like me.
Definitely worth doing, but clear your schedule, find a patient partner.
Few air bubbles and slight misalignment.
I had the PPF installed, it took a little glare heat off the inside of my vehicle, but its nothing like I thought it would be. I still have to install the headliner on top having the PPF kit installed. I would not recommend this product, just install the headliner and keep it moving.
