No, not at all. The wrap kit allows you to apply a professionally looking wrap without disassembly.
Unless you REALLY overstretched it, you can get it back to normal stretch. Vinyl is memory-based so if you just heat it, it will revert back to its original state. Use a heat gun or hairdryer and keep your heat moving in the area. You’ll see it shrink back. If you don’t see that it is shrinking back, you may have added too much heat and will have to use your extra piece.
You can use a heat gun or a hairdryer but you want to use a heat gun whenever you need to stretch or conform around awkward areas. When using heat, don’t stay in one area. Keep your gun moving and roughly 6 inches away.
The kit comes with everything you need, except a heating source. We recommend using a heat gun or even a hairdryer if needed.
Our DIY kits are designed with beginners in mind. You do not need prior knowledge to install these kits, however, we do recommend studying our videos and familiarizing yourself with vinyl to get the most out of your kit!
It’s recommended to only hand wash your Tesla. Due to automatic carwashes being brushless, they tend to use heavy chemicals to break things down which can be harmful to the vinyl.
Most customers install this themselves. We recommend watching the how to video to ensure correct usage.

I love my new Tesla and one of my favorite features is FSD! This is a great way to showcase your support for Tesla and the FSD team, while making your car stand out from the other Teslas in the area.
I had it professionally installed, as it did look difficult to do given the thin lettering. The packaging of the decal was a little messy given all of the cuts in the plastic. I ordered gold and wish the material were a bit more metallic gold, it’s more of a bright yellow glitter.
Got my vinyl in, the transfer paper used is alil whack, there were creases in the vinyl.
On the car looks great, stayed on during touchless car wash, and definitely makes people loose there mind when I use the summon feature and it picks me up on the parking lot. Its worth it, even with alil crease (crumble) in the vinyl that only i notice.
Love the look!! Take your time when applying Robotaxi sticker. Wish the kit came with an aligning template to get it perfect. Mine are a little off, but look amazing anyways. The sticker comes in black, white or gold. If you are considering getting one, I'd order soon as it may not be available later.
